The Heartstone Inn Bed and Breakfast was selected as one of 18 inns in the U.S. to receive Four Ovations, designating the inn as "exceptional and significantly exceeding requirements in physical and operational categories."

Hundreds of bed and breakfast inns across the country participated in this unique award program which assigned a rating system exclusive to B&B's and singled out the best sites in the United States.

Inns were rated in the areas of ambience, architectural detail, service to guests, reputation, and overall presentation of the property. Judges were Sally Jessy Raphael, ABC talk show host and innkeeper; Norman Strasma, publisher, Inn Business Review; Dan Kisch, publisher, Corporate Travel; Maggie Thompson, senior editor, Successful Meetings; and Jim Flaherty, innkeeper, Troutbeck.

This is THE best bed and breakfast my husband and I have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in several throughout the U.S. The host and hostess were very warm and friendly and were definitely tailor-made for this job! We spent two nights here in the cottages and found the breakfasts both days to be absolutely delicious. In fact, we bought several copies of their cookbook-one copy for ourselves and the rest for Christmas gifts. We have made several of the recipes and they have all been delicious. We can not say enough good things about the Heartstone Inn and definitely hope we have a chance to stay there again.
